Introducing impacts Salzburg

Salzburg’s new ambassadors of enjoyment

Dorothea and Josef Voithofer have handed over their Salzburg congress catering business to Christian Chytil and his Viennese catering company impacts per 1 April 2022. The two gastronomes are thus taking their well-deserved retirement after 34 successful years. With Salzburg-born Elisabeth Unterberger, who has returned to her home country after working in Switzerland, England, the Arlberg and Munich, and the existing team, Christian Chytil will continue the Voithofer family’s life’s work and fulfil the trust placed in him and impacts Catering. Christian Chytil explains his vision for the Salzburg location.

“Our two companies are united by a great love of hosting and an unconditional commitment to the highest quality of food, beverages and services offered. Now it’s a matter of transferring the heart of the former congress catering to our new company impacts Catering Salzburg and establishing it as a modern, sustainable catering partner in Salzburg, the Salzburg region and neighbouring Bavaria.”

The Impacts catering offer

From small to large, at business events and private functions, at trade fairs and congresses, product presentations, galas and anniversaries: all customers and guests can look forward to the multi-faceted cuisine and the renowned impacts factor. Individually and, of course, entirely according to personal wishes. With the best quality products, the highest level of craftsmanship, a sustainable regional approach and an immeasurable love of being a host.

The impacts philosophy

For many years, the Viennese catering company impacts has been convincing with this daily lived philosophy at national and international events and has already been awarded the title “Caterer of the Year” by Rolling Pin four times (2014, 2016, 2018, 2019). The enjoyment ambassadors around Christian Chytil passionately put the culinary spotlight on a wide variety of events. Perfect and professional. Creative and innovative. With flavours from home and from all over the world. Sustainable, individual and very personal.

“For our customers, my team and I do everything possible to create genuine, culinary magic moments that will be remembered for a lifetime. We lovingly take care of all the details and are delighted when we can look at the happy faces of our guests during service.”, says Salzburg location manager Elisabeth Unterberger.

Investments at the Salzburg location

On 1 April 2022, the newly founded impacts Catering Salzburg GmbH took over the almost 4,000 sqm premises at Seilerstraße 3. A large kitchen, logistics and storage facilities, its own laundry, as well as its own impacts Academy and impacts Showroom combine to form the largest catering company in the premium segment in the city of Mozart. Managing Director Christian Chytil has also announced investments of over one million euros for the next 12 months. The kitchen, storage rooms and logistics are to be modernised. In addition, Salzburg will soon be cooking with solar energy. This has already been successfully practised for many years at the impacts location in Vienna and underlines the pioneering role and clear commitment of impacts Catering in the areas of sustainability and environmental protection.

The Impacts Sustainability Promise

In 2012, the company was awarded the Austrian Eco-label for “Event Catering” and “Green Meetings and Green Events”. An award that is also understood as ecological responsibility at all impacts locations. The fact that climate protection and sustainability have a very positive effect on the quality of services through modern innovations has been a conviction of Christian Chytil’s since the beginning, and today it is proven anew with every catering. Since 2015, impacts has been certified organic by Austria Bio Garantie. As a partner of the GenussRegion Austria, products from the region are preferred. FairTrade coffee, organic teas, the impacts’ own bee colony and a kitchen that cooks with solar energy thanks to its own photovoltaic system, waste avoidance and an energy-optimised vehicle fleet with the use of e-cars round off the outstanding commitment. Since 2019, impacts Catering has also been a co-initiator and partner of the ” Lebensmitteldrehscheibe in Wien”, through which food left over from events is given to social institutions.

Already thinking about Christmas

Also new: in the winter season 2022 / 2023 impacts Catering Salzburg is very much looking forward to exclusively managing the brewing vault of the Stiegl brewery in Salzburg. Elisabeth Unterberger and her team are already planning and organising small and large winter events, as well as Advent and Christmas celebrations. Enquiries and bookings are welcome.
